“The right word and almost the right word…”

“The difference between the right word and almost the right word is the difference between the lightning and the lightning-bug.” – Mark Twain.

- Endeavor to choose your words well! Love “demands” it. Say the truth but don’t be without love! – Father Soc.

  1. Well...first things first: what did Mark Twain mean by the lightning bug? we know what lightning is but a lightning bug? Is it perhaps related to the lightning rod?...one clue is, that a bug is small and it "bugs"...hmmm...hard work here...then again, may I say that I agree that love "demands" choosing words well...on the other hand, if truth is of God and God is Love, truth, in any language ("word") or vocal/written expression, is essentially love itself...yun nga lang, minsan mahirap tanggapin ang katotohanan lalo na pag masakit...that is why love "demands" right choice of words.
